Terms of Use
The rules that govern your use of this website, and what the content published here does and does not mean.
Last updated:
Welcome to the website of Ostathna Skills Development Centre (ostathna.com), based at Al-Quds Complex, 4th floor, Khalda, Amman. By using this website you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the site.
Scope of these terms
These terms apply to the whole of ostathna.com, in Arabic and in English. They do not apply to:
- The service agreements and forms you sign at the centre when enrolling your child — those are separate documents, and their terms govern the service relationship.
- External platforms we link out to, such as WhatsApp, Google Maps and social networks; each has its own terms and policies.
The content is educational, not a diagnosis
The articles, service pages and FAQs on this site are written to inform and support families and educators. They are:
- not a diagnosis of any individual child, and not an individual therapy or rehabilitation plan;
- not a substitute for consulting a qualified specialist or physician, or for a direct assessment at the centre;
- not suitable for every child — what helps one child may not help another, and decisions should rest on an individual assessment.
Never delay seeking professional advice because of something you read here, and never stop a programme or medication on the basis of this website. If your child's situation is an emergency, contact the relevant health services directly.
We write and review our content carefully, but we cannot guarantee that it is free of error or always up to date, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome from applying it.
Services and booking
The site presents the centre's services and lets you reach us, but it does not complete any booking or enrolment. No appointment or assessment session is confirmed until the centre's team confirms it by phone or WhatsApp.
The "Send a message" form on the contact page does not submit your details to a server; it opens a WhatsApp chat on your own device with a ready-written message that you then send. See the Privacy Policy for details.
The services, programmes and durations described may change, and remain subject to availability of places, of the relevant specialists, and to assessment results.
Acceptable and prohibited use
You may browse the site and print or share its content for personal or non-commercial educational use, with attribution and a link to the page. You may not:
- republish the site's content or photographs commercially, attribute the content to anyone other than the centre, or remove ownership notices;
- attempt to breach, disrupt or overload the site or its server, or circumvent any protection measure;
- use automated collection tools (scraping or aggressive crawling) in a way that harms the site's performance, or create a copy of the site;
- use the contact details published here to send unsolicited commercial or nuisance messages;
- use the site for any purpose that breaks Jordanian law or that harms children, the centre or its staff.
Intellectual property
Everything on this site — the Arabic and English text, the photographs, the "أستاذنا — Ostathna" name and logo, the illustrations, icons, design and source code — belongs to the centre or is used under licence, and is protected by copyright and trademark law in Jordan and by international conventions.
The photographs of children on this site are published with the prior written consent of their parents or guardians, for the sole purpose of presenting the centre. Downloading, republishing, altering or reusing them in any other context is strictly prohibited: besides infringing our rights, it violates the children's own rights and privacy.
The fonts and open-source libraries used on the site remain the property of their authors and are governed by their own licences.
What you send us
When you send us a question, a comment or any material (by WhatsApp, email or phone), you confirm that you have the right to send it, and you allow us to use it to answer you and improve our services. If we would like to publish your story or feedback as a testimonial on the site or our pages, we will do so only with your explicit consent, and without naming your child or including any detail that identifies them unless you ask for that in writing.
Third-party links and services
The site links to external services (WhatsApp, Google Maps, social platforms, and directories or sites mentioned in articles), and loads web fonts from Google Fonts and a 3D graphics library from the jsDelivr network. These parties are independent of us; we control neither their content nor their policies, and your visit to them is governed by their terms. A mention or a link is not an endorsement of everything that party publishes.
Availability and limitation of liability
We work to keep the site available and secure, but we provide it "as is", without guaranteeing uninterrupted operation or freedom from technical faults. We may change or withdraw any part of it, or move or remove a page, at any time and without prior notice.
To the extent permitted by Jordanian law, neither the centre nor its staff is liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, this site, or from a decision taken on the basis of its content without professional advice. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Children and this website
This site is addressed to parents, guardians, educators and professionals — not to children. We do not ask children for any information here and we do not register them on the site. If you contact us about a child, we assume you are their parent or guardian or are otherwise legally authorised to do so. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our services or legal requirements change. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this page, and continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the courts of Amman have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force.
