Privacy Policy
What is collected when you visit this site and when you contact us, why, and how you stay in control of it.
Last updated:
The short version
- The site is static and account-free: no sign-up, no visitor database, and no data sold to anyone.
- The contact form sends nothing to our server; it opens WhatsApp on your device so you send the message yourself.
- We use no analytics or advertising cookies; the only thing stored is your choice in the cookie notice.
- Children's assessment and session records never pass through this website; they stay confidential inside the centre.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Ostathna Skills Development Centre, Al-Quds Complex, 4th floor, Khalda, Amman, Jordan. For privacy matters: info@ostathna.com or 0791482600.
We handle your data in line with Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 and other applicable legislation.
What this website does not collect
Starting with the reassuring part: the site is a set of static HTML pages with no content management system and no visitor database. So:
- There are no user accounts, no passwords and no log-in.
- We do not store what you type into the contact form on any server of ours.
- We use no analytics tools (such as Google Analytics), no advertising pixels and no cross-site tracking.
- We ask for no payment details through the site, and collect no health or diagnostic data through it.
- We do not sell, trade or share your data for anyone else's marketing.
What may actually be collected when you use the site
1) The "Send a message" form on the contact page
When you press send, your browser assembles a text message on your own device from the fields you filled in (name, phone, service, your message) and opens a WhatsApp chat containing it. You are the one who presses send inside WhatsApp. This means the data does not pass through our server, but it does pass through WhatsApp and is subject to its privacy policy. It then reaches us as a message on the centre's phone, and we handle it as described in the next section.
2) Server logs
Like any website, the web server keeps a technical log of each request, typically including: IP address, browser and operating system, the page requested, the date and time, and the referring page if any. We use these only to run and protect the site and to diagnose faults. We do not link them to your identity or use them to build a profile of you.
3) Storage on your device (cookies and local storage)
One item is saved in your browser: your choice in the cookie notice (accept all / essential only). Full details and durations are in the Cookie Policy.
4) External services the site loads files from
To display the page correctly the site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, and the 3D graphics library on the home page from the jsDelivr network. By the nature of the internet, your IP address and browser details reach those networks so that they can deliver the file. We send them no other data about you.
The site is also hosted on a server with a cloud hosting provider, whose servers — or those of the delivery network — may be located outside Jordan.
Your contact messages and appointment booking
When you call, message us on WhatsApp or email us, we keep what you sent: your name and number, the service you are asking about, what you told us about your child, and the record of the conversation and appointment. We use it only to reply to you, arrange the assessment appointment and follow up on your request.
Access to these messages is limited to the team members responsible for reception and coordination. We suggest not sending medical reports or sensitive details about your child by WhatsApp or email before we agree on it; you can always bring them to the centre or hand them to the specialist directly.
Assessment and session records at the centre
Assessments, individual plans, progress reports and session data are sensitive information about your child. These records:
- are never published on, stored on, or routed through this website in any form;
- are collected with the guardian's consent at enrolment, under the service agreement signed at the centre;
- are used to build the programme, measure progress and produce the reports handed to the guardian;
- are accessible only to the specialist team responsible for the child and to professional supervision, and are not shared with a school, physician or any other party except with the guardian's written consent or under a binding legal order;
- may be used in aggregated, anonymised form (plain figures with no identifier) to improve our programmes and train our team.
Purposes and legal bases
- Your consent: when you message us, or give written consent to publish a photo or testimonial or to share a report.
- Performance of the service: the assessment, planning, sessions and reports required by the service agreement.
- Legitimate interest: site security and abuse prevention, and answering your enquiries.
- Legal obligation: where the law or a competent authority requires us to keep or produce data.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. We share it only to the extent necessary with:
- our hosting provider and the delivery and font networks — as part of running the site, as described above;
- WhatsApp — when you use it to contact us;
- professional service providers bound by confidentiality (such as our email provider) where needed;
- official authorities, where the law requires it.
How long we keep data
- Server logs: a short period for security and diagnostics, then automatically rotated or destroyed.
- Enquiry messages: until the request is closed, then a reasonable period in case you get back in touch.
- Records of enrolled children: throughout the service and for the period required by professional standards and legal obligations afterwards, then securely destroyed.
- Your cookie-notice choice: up to 12 months, or until you clear your browser data.
Your rights
Under Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law you have the right to:
- know what we hold about you or your child and receive a copy of it;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- ask for your data to be deleted where no legal or professional basis requires us to keep it;
- withdraw your consent at any time (for example consent to publish a photo), without affecting the lawfulness of what came before;
- object to a particular processing activity or ask us to restrict it;
- complain to the competent personal data protection authority in Jordan if our response does not satisfy you.
To exercise any of these, email info@ostathna.com. We will reply within a reasonable time, and we may ask you to prove your identity or your status as guardian before we release any data — to protect the child.
Data security
The site runs entirely over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and holds no queryable visitor data. Inside the centre, access to children's records is limited to the team concerned, paper documents are kept locked away, and every team member is bound by professional confidentiality. That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of anything sent across third-party networks.
Children's privacy
This site is addressed to parents, guardians, educators and professionals, and we collect no data from children directly through it. Any data about a child is collected from their guardian or with their consent. Photographs of children on the site are published with the prior written consent of their guardians and can be withdrawn at any time by contacting us; we will remove the photograph at the earliest possible update. We never publish children's names or identifying details in any public content.
Transfers outside Jordan
Some technical data (such as the IP address in hosting logs or in the font delivery network) may be processed on servers outside Jordan. We work with providers that apply recognised protection standards, and this data stays technical and limited to its purpose.
Cookies
What is stored on your device, why, and how to change your choice is set out in the Cookie Policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, tools or legal requirements change. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this page, and we will highlight any material change on the site.
